Living With Jesus Every Day – Part 2
When Ordinary Moments Become Holy
The other day I was sitting on my couch working on my website.
I had worship music playing in the background, but honestly I wasn't really paying attention.

Then all of a sudden...
Something in that song just hit me. I immediately started tearing up. Not because I was sad.
Holy tears.
I was overwhelmed by how wonderful Jesus is.
For a few moments it was as though the world faded away. All I could see and hear was heaven streaming into me.
I felt His gentleness. His lovingkindness.
Those moments change you forever. Nothing in the room changed. Jesus simply opened my eyes again to His beauty. That's why I don't think ordinary moments are really ordinary anymore.
When you're living with Him, any moment can suddenly become holy.
People sometimes ask why we keep wanting more of Jesus. I've wondered that too. It's like a craving that can never quite be satisfied. But not because He isn't enough. It's because every new thing you discover about Him creates an even greater desire to know Him.
Every glimpse of His beauty makes you long for another glimpse. Every encounter makes you want another encounter.
I don't think that's something we create ourselves. I think He's the One who places that desire within us. Sometimes you can almost feel Him touching your heart with it.
When I was a brand-new Christian, I heard the song As the Deer for the very first time.
"As the deer pants for the water, so my soul pants for You, O God."
The moment I heard those words...
...something in me found a home.
I couldn't explain it then. I just knew my heart had recognized something it had been searching for all along.
Maybe that's why those deep longings never go away. Maybe they aren't there because you're missing something. Maybe they're there because your soul is recognizing the One it was created for.
And that's why I believe walking with Jesus is the greatest adventure.
What if all you had was what this world had to offer? An ordinary life spent chasing possessions, accomplishments, worldly pleasures, and success.
But instead...
Jesus invites us into an unpredictable, deeply captivating, life-changing journey.
And the best part is...
You don't travel alone. You have Jesus.
Every step with Him reveals another glimpse of His beauty. Another reason to love Him. Greater faith. Deeper love.
You begin to discover who you really are not who the world tells you that you are. You discover your true purpose as you walk with Him.
Don't settle for an ordinary life when Jesus is inviting you into the adventure of a lifetime...
...and an eternity of discovering more of Him.
